Significant Progress in Die Forging Process for Aluminum Parts

It is reported that the project focuses on the large-scale aerospace die forgings hot die forging near net forming technology, combined with the 800MN large-scale die forging press under construction, has developed a near-net forming new technology for aerospace complex precision forgings, and solved the basic common technology of large die forging processes and Key technical issues. Breakthrough of the overall forming technology of large titanium alloys and Aluminum Alloy Forgings, basic data testing of typical titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, and high strength steels for aviation, meshless simulation of forging process, and typical titanium alloy forming process Lubrication protection technology research, die forging process database / knowledge base research and development has achieved remarkable results.

The research results of this project will be widely used in the research and development of large-scale, overall, fine, high-quality, low-cost, long-life die forging products, and provide the basis for manufacturing key parts for large aircraft in China.

At present, the research results of this project provide 800MN large Forging Parts with production process guidance, solve the basic technology and key technical issues of large die forging processes, and make the near net forming technology in China reach the international advanced level; and use 800MN large die forging presses to manufacture Large-scale, high-quality, overall large-scale die forgings lay a good foundation.
